Teaching with Adult & Community Education

Do you have a passion or area of expertise you want to share with the community?

We’re always on the lookout for enthusiastic teachers who’d like to share their expertise with members of the Concord-Carlisle community.

Our Adult & Continuing Education courses cover a wide variety of topics. Some programs are one-time workshops while others may meet for as many as six or ten weeks. Most of our in-person classes meet at Concord-Carlisle High School in the late afternoon or early evening hours on weekdays and other classes meet on zoom.

Our Village University programs are a subset of courses for mature learners who are seeking stimulating study and conversation about interesting topics. The courses are taught by academics, scholars, and educational leaders who volunteer to share their knowledge and inspire others. The volunteer instructors bring the best university- level learning experiences to Concord and Carlisle. These programs can also be online or in person and generally take place on weekday mornings.

We encourage you to look through our latest catalog (on our homepage) to make sure we aren’t already offering the subject you have in mind. Then, if you think your class would be a good addition to our program, fill out the Course Suggestion below. If we think it will be of interest and benefit to our community, we’ll get in touch!

Adult & Community Education classes are intended to be educational. While we expect instructors to share their expertise, they may not directly promote their own products or services during class time. Students may choose on their own to contact the instructor outside of the class for more specific information and/or to inquire about that instructor’s services.
