Steps to safe learning:
- Before resuming lessons, each vehicle needs to be thoroughly cleaned. After cleaning, all vehicles will be sanitized using 70% alcohol.
- We will install plastic barriers between the front and back seats.
- Sanitization of the vehicles and personal health:
- Students will be asked screening questions before each lesson:
- Do you have any of the symptoms from the CDC’s list of possible symptoms.
- Within the last 14 days have you or a household member had close contact with a symptomatic person diagnosed with COVID-19?
- Students will have their temperature taken before the lesson and instructors at the start of their driving shift.
- Students will use hand sanitizer before and after the lesson.
- Instructors will have time between lessons to sanitize the car using 70% alcohol spray. After cleaning, the instructor will use safe methods to remove their gloves and utilize hand sanitizer (minimum of 60% alcohol) to clean their hands.
- Students will be asked screening questions before each lesson:
- Personal protection and PPE
- The student and instructor will be required to wear masks and the instructor will also wear a face shield. We will offer to provide a face shield to the students at a nominal fee if they would like.
- We will also ask the student to wear freshly laundered clothes and recommend the instructors wear an over garment, like an oversized t-shirt, that they can take off after the work day and shower as soon as they are home.
- Limiting exposure
- Windows will remain cracked open to promote air circulation.
- No observations are allowed at this time, per the Governor’s Committee.
